The House

Okay the addition/remodel to our home is finally underway! For those of you who have had to hear about it for the past year and a half I apologize! It seems like forever that we've waited. Jason Tingey is doing it and we are really happy with his work and professionalism. I've taken pictures along the way to share with you. Hopefully I'll stay up on them (okay quit laughing, I know I suck at updating my blog)! Anyway, hopefully you will enjoy seeing the changes that are occuring each day. I never thought I'd get so excited over cement and wood, but it's fabulous and we're really excited!

Dinosaurs

One night Rich and I were sitting on the couch watching TV. Braxton was playing with his dinosaurs on the floor. He got up and started playing by the end table. We just kept watching our show and he was just playing. We didn't think much of it. Then I looked over and saw that he had placed all of his dinosaurs on the lamp. I started laughing and said what are you doing? He said, "look T-rex is tyring to get them, so they had to hide." If you look closely at the picture you will see T-Rex on the table looking at the other dinosaurs while they "hid" from him. The imagination of children never ceases to amaze me!

Thanksgiving Program

Braxton had a Thanksgiving Program on November 24. He was a pilgrim. He had a part that he did all by himself! It went: I could have helped to clear the land and build a cabin too, In Massachusets Bay there were so many things to do. He did so good and we were so proud of him.

Brooke in Las Vegas

I had the oportunity to go to Las Vegas for a conference from Oct 26-29th. All I can say is I'm not at all sad that I live in my little sheltered world and am completely naive to the things that go on in this world! Don't get me wrong, I had a great time. We saw a couple of different shows and we did a whole lot of walking. I spent the majority of the time with my mouth agape and staring at everyone and everything. This was my first trip to Las Vegas and if I ever go again I'm taking my husband so he can be thankful for his sheltered life too!

Family Golf Day

We had a family golf day and Braxton did such an awesome job! The above video is him hitting his drive on #7. He's got pretty good technique for his age! He out drove me on this and another hole that day! The picture above the video is of Braxton's ball and my ball on #7. His ahead of mine to the right.

Braxton's First Day of Kindergarten

Braxton had his first official day of Kindergarten on August 21, 2008. He was so excited and we, of course, were mortified. We can't believe he is in school already and he comes home excited every day about the stuff he had learned.

HEATHER TURNS 20!

Heather had her 20th birthday on July 26! She had a great time with her friends in Oregon. They went camping and made a big fuss over her! We miss her dearly and think of her everyday! She is doing so well and we are so proud of her. She is such a beautiful and amazing young woman and we couldn't have asked for a better daughter!

New York

In July, I went to New York to see my sister. They live in a small town called Dryden which is absolutely beautiful. This is the second time I have been there but last time we went in November so everything was kinda dead. But this time everything was so green. Our green does not even compare! They never have to water their lawn because of the rain. I've never seen rain like it! It just starts to pour and then stops as quickly as it started. Needless to say there is humidity. I could not believe how moist the air was! In the slide show you will see pictures of a waterfall. I can't remember the name of it, but it was amazing. There are waterfalls everywhere and it is just such a beautiful place. Rich and Brax stayed home this trip and they did great without me! I'm not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing. It was great to visit with Meg and Joe and get to know my nephew a little more! My niece was in Idaho but I got to see her before leaving for New York and after getting back. Joe and Meg spoiled me and it was a great vacation!

T-Ball

Braxton played T-Ball this year. He loved it and was quite good at it! He is looking forward to baseball next year.

Pre-School Graduation

Braxton graduated from Pre-school on May 29. I can't believe he is going to start Kindergarten! Here is a slide show of his graduation. P.S. There is a picture of Braxton's preschool teacher, Mrs. Burnham. I find it quite funny that the same teacher who taught pre-school to Rich's daughter and son, also taught his wife!!! He doesn't find that too amusing. But I think it's hilarious! That's what he gets for marrying someone so young!

Our Oregon Trip

Hey everyone. So we went to Oregeon to see our daughter Heather. She lives in Canby which is about 20 minutes outside of Portland. It is a cute little town and she is doing so well. We had a great trip and it was great to visit with her and see what she has been up to. I posted a slide show of our trip, enjoy!
